- As a new mother and a multinational entrepreneur residing in Shanghai, what is your understanding of the concept of equality?
I believe that equality is akin to achieving balance within oneself. By attaining inner balance, one can lead a more content and fulfilling life. When we are able to achieve inner balance, we are better equipped to navigate the challenges and complexities of life and to find contentment and fulfillment in our daily experiences. This can involve cultivating a sense of self-awareness and mindfulness, as well as developing a strong sense of empathy and compassion for others.
- Do you find it challenging to uphold your understanding of equality in your environment?
Yes! It's a common problem in my community - as individuals accumulate more wealth, they often neglect the significance of maintaining balance. This mindset can lead to a sense of entitlement among more financially well-off people. As a result, they may begin to treat those less fortunate with disrespect or disdain. It's a shame, but this kind of invisible classism happens all too often these days.
- How do you think promoting equality can enhance the standard of living in your community?
I believe that individuals, regardless of their identity and norms, should be free to pursue their interests without fear of judgment. Discrimination, labeling, and preconceived notions hinder people's chances of achieving equality. By eliminating these barriers and promoting more inclusions, individuals can have a fair opportunity to express their unique individuality.

- How do you deal with individuals who oppose or undermine equality?
A better society is one where individuals stand up for what they believe is right. I have faced challenges that made me feel inferior throughout my life, but I remain steadfast in my convictions and true to my authentic self. This commitment to equality has helped me overcome adversity and become a better mom and entrepreneur.
